Yokohama is Japan's largest incorporated city and second most populous urban area after Tokyo. Yokohama developed as Japan's prominent city following the end of Japan's isolation, and is today one of its major ports.

About Yokohama

Yokohama covers an area of 168.8 sq. miles (437.4 sq. Km) and is estimated to have a population of 3.6 million people being the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture, located in the Kantō region and is a major commercial hub of Japan.

Yokohama Science Center

A recommended place to take children of all ages and interests, the museum is divided into the following sections: Space Captain, Space City Yokohama, Space Gym, Space Laboratory and Space Theatre. The exhibits are “hands-on,” and the interactive games, videos and planetarium show will provide a very nice outing.
